Hale o Lono

Hale o Lono is our demonstration site for traditional aquaculture. On this site is a series of traditional fishponds or loko i‘a. Here the students can learn about the practices of raising fish as well as the overall concept of mālama kai. Workshops on rock wall building, pond maintenance and fish care as well as innovative limu propagation techniques are held here.
