Edith Kanaka‘ole Foundation
Higher Education Scholarship
The
Edith Kanaka‘ole Foundation’s scholarship is an annual award
that serves as a memorial to Edith Kanaka‘ole, noted native Hawaiian
scholar and leader in the native Hawaiian community. The scholarship provides
supplemental financial assistance and cannot be the applicant’s
primary source of higher education funding. The Foundation assists students
in higher education both in Western institutions of education and in formal
native Hawaiian institutions of education.
Eligibility:
- You must be of whole or part native Hawaiian ancestry.
- You must demonstrate financial need.
- You must attend school on Hawai’i Island.
- You must enroll as a fulltime student.
- You must have at least a 2.5 G.P.A. in all previous
high school/higher education work.
- You must agree to participate and complete a “give
back” program.
- You must maintain a 3.0 G.P.A. during the school year
of your award.
